Thanks:
When we have the money, Layts and suths would really like to buy pints in thanks for:
Tom Rose. The magician that made the website for us. We are useless, and would NEVER had done it if wasn’t for him, he put in a lot of time because he’s like that. So much gratitude to you. When we’re famous you can be the magician at the MTV awards, see if you can make Madonna disappear…or Jordan or someone.
Murg, he should be on the web site more really but there are hardly any pictures of him, primarily because he takes too long to pose for them. He drums on Brewtime, Nurse and Pilot, and he is a sweet drummer (quality wise, not like he’s a particularly nice guy or anything). Layts and suths should really be Layts and Suths and Murg, only it sounds crap, and Murg doesn’t write any of the songs.
Matthew Collins. Photographer extraordinaire, maximum gratitude to this upstanding citizen of Lancaster, who took time out of his life to help us no end by spending ages taking pictures of us and then printing them to a high standard. We would be only on the starting blocks if you hadn’t helped us Matt, and what goes around comes around. We owe you mate.
Ian, this man is the engineer behind the recording of all of the songs bar Brewtime, Nurse and Uptalker. He knows us, and he knows what we like. Ian is a patient man and respect to him for it and thanks for your suggestions.
The co-op, where we record.
Ben Haywood, Don’t see this clown enough, but he’s sound. He’s been at the recordings and helped us out with the sax on Brewtime. Despite the fact that it was entirely unnecessary. Ben, you can do the Glasto gig with us mate (when we get there) even though it is a one bar part for you, Christ it’s essential though mate, it makes the song.
Simon Day, he wrote the bass line for Uptalker and partly for Donald Bradman. He almost certainly doesn’t know that he did it though, as his memory is a poor, poor sod of a memory. Also a good guy and needs to fall off the wagon again for our entertainment.
Kev Sewell, he helped come up with the melody and words for the second verse of uptalker. Wow eh? Wow. I know the words aren’t exactly majestic or awe inspiring, but what can you do?
Peter Haughton, for helping Layts to write Uptalker in the very early stages. Also Pete was the Laconics’ keyboard player when Layts joined and he wasn’t completely opposed to it even though Layts was a pig on the guitar. Nice guy.
John Clark, not really sure why, but he’s always about and he must have done something.
Eleanane, seen every gig, but they’ve become less hardcore. In.
Without Johnny. The band that taught Layts a lot, and was quality to be in.
We don’t really have a large following because we really haven’t done any gigs since the band ‘split up’ but the CDs are plastered all over the country and we get a lot of good comments so thanks for listening to it and we’re always recording more.
